Services

Here at Chancellor of the FormChecker we offer a range of services for the professional, amateur and ‘hobby’ punter! We are not a service that has insider information and we do not just give out one or two tips per day or every couple of days. Below is a run through about what we do:

FormChecker

This system has now been running for six years even though it was only officially launchedat the end of September 2009. The system can produce shortlists for every single UK jumps races on the calendar (and Bumper races if there is enough Form to check!). The system produces a Win horse and a range of placed horses (always matching the amount of horses that will pay out each-way. Frivolous Flutters are given on some races and these indicate one of two things: the race is very, very competitive and many horses are in with a chance or there is a horse capable of winning this race on previous form of a while back (so re-capturing this would give them a really good chance of winning).

A FormChecker * is awarded to horses that score maximum on the system and are well worth following.

For recent examples of the improved FormChecker/HotShots on one sheet, click on the track you want from this list: Cartmel, Ffos Las, Huntingdon

Adjust the Form Ratings

This system produces a numerical score for each runner in a race that has been chosen to be rated. From this the field can be placed in rank order. However, the Adjust part of the ratings can tell you more than just the number. Certain symbols can be placed next to a rating that gives a bit more information about that horse.

  • J: The horse currently has some jumping issues in recent races and this can be a compelling symbol to follow. For example, The Chancellor gave out 70 j symbols at the 2010 Cheltenham Festival. Only two of these won!!
  • +: Horses on the upgrade and they are usually ones to follow even if they are not towards the top end of the ratings overall.
  • *: DARK HORSES are really worth keeping an eye on in this race and future encounters!

HotShotsDistance&Course

HotShots takes the idea of horses for courses a stage further. It shortlists horses that are good at a particular distance and good at a particular course. These can be course and distance winners but a lot are horses that have never run at their better distance at their favoured course. They can produce some really nice priced winners and placed horses.

The Other Nationals Project

This project examines trends of all of the Nationals that are run in the UK and Ireland. The main ones are obviously the Grand National, Scottish, Irish and Welsh version but there are many others including the Southern National, the Borders National and the Kerry National. Currently there are 23 of these and The Chancellor produces a trends analysis and ratings for each of them with amazing success! The trends look at the profile of previous winners and see which of today’s runners best fits that and the ratings are Adjust the Form ones.

For examples of what we do click on one of the events listed here: Sussex, Kent, Ulster, North Yorkshire

Juvenile Hurdles Project

Started in September 2010, the Chancellor chose to follow these events as they are usually lacking in any form so of course FormChecker cannot assess them properly. Previous Juvenile events at every course that runs them in the UK are assessed to see the breeding profile of winners. The runners in every Juvenile event are then assessed for breeding and see which fit into the profile of winners at that track. We have had immediate success with this with two long-priced winners at my beloved Fontwell Park already!

Cheltenham and Aintree Packages

For these you get FormChecker, full trends analyses, HotShots and Adjust the FormRatings for all events at these Festivals. This multi-pronged attack brought about 20 winners at the 2010 Cheltenham Festival (check out our History page for details) and many at the 2011 Festival too. Click here for an example of what we do.
