Gargantuan's Mega Friday! Lingfield AND Kempton!

Posted on Friday Sep 3 6:40:00 UTC 2010

GARGANTUAN grabs punters another biggy as promised......

Now I did promise another big priced winner by the end of the week but to do it within a day, well what can I say it's the way the game goes (avec smug grin).

The evening couldn’t have started off any worse: 2nd in the first and then not even a place in the 2nd, but I was glad I got these two races out of the way the hardest two races to gauge on the whole card. Then to be fair the 3rd race didn’t go to plan either as Janet’s Pearl got another second to her name and then the 4th race we won’t talk about due to a non runner and a poor fav hahahaha.

Then the action starts (it took a while to warm up, but once warm it got hot) Straight forecast in the next where Malice + Mischief went very well, ran clear to score with Daas Rite staying on in the closing stages to take 2nd. How my BIG FANCY Medicean Man didn’t win I don’t know nicked on the line with Celtic Sultan bagging 3rd at a good 25/1 (I was gutted it should have won doing kart wheels).

Then up stands Malcheek to the sand, with my win tip Golden Shaheen fluffing the start and then Malcheek going out to the front I feared the worst. But then to see Malcheek still going sweetly into the final turn I really couldn’t see anything beating it and that was the case with a great ride from the Kestrel Dave Allan. Golden shaheen made some good late head way to finish 3rd.

Then in the last the combo of Ollie Pears and Barry McHugh came up trumps (it won't be the first time it won't be the last). Pattern Mark making a late surge in a blanket finish stuck his neck out to win with Tres Froide unlucky not to pick off a place.

So enough gloating and on with today, two meetings one at Kempton again and the other is at where it all began; yes it's Lingfield. The Lingfield card looks a real competitive card but here's to hoping it’s the same result as last time: a Gargantuan massacre.

Again my BIG FANCY horse's have been highlighted in the below selections.

Hope everyone is enjoying following the Gargantuan this week as much as I am (of course we are - The Chancellor)
